About TWAD

Established in 2021 by myself, TWAD provides high level design services.  Creative, yet practical, no project is too big or too small and I will guide you through the full architectural process or to whichever stage you wish.

I listen to my client's ideas and advise on the viability of the project.  The aim being to work within the client's budget, giving them the spaces they desire.  The design palette can be to match existing, be traditional to local vernacular or contemporary.

I use AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop to portray the designs.  3D visuals and models allows clients to easily see what their project will look like and indicate how window arrangements will provide natural daylighting.

I remain up-to-date with latest architectural and construction technologies  by keeping up with regular technical and product learning CPD events.

About Me

I began my career with Woodside & Parker in Perth where I grew up.  I furthered my career and obtained my degree - BArch (Hons) - at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow.  Based in Stirling, I am currently an Affiliate with the CIAT.

I have expertise primarily in housing, from internal alterations, small extensions, bespoke one-off dwellings, steading conversions, housing for developers and social housing.  Commercial projects include children's nurseries, a farm shop, alterations to a hospice and mortuaries.

I have over 25 years experience working across those sectors within the Central Belt, Fife and Perth & Kinross.

Idea

I will take your brief and your ideas and turn them into a live project.

Design

I will guide you through the design process from inception to completion, dealing with the Local Authority and liaising with necessary consultants.

Techinical

Once the design has been agreed, I will prepare the technical details and specifications to gain Building Warrant approval and obtain tenders.

End Goal

To hand over your completed project for you to enjoy.
